When I read the title Reaching Your Child's Heart (mp3 format) by Sonya Shafer, I knew it was something I needed to hear. Sonya is very easy to listen to and does a fantastic job of getting her points across in a simple manner. She also uses many real life examples that all parents can relate to. This is geared towards homeschooling parents but could easily apply to others as well.

Using scriptural references from the book of Luke, Sonya shows six different principles that can be used to reach your child’s heart. I do not want to list these principles because it would give away important information. I was very inspired and convicted by many of the points made in the seminar. We so often lose sight of what is really important. This audio is a great way to take a look at your priorities and make sure they are in order.

Do not expect a high quality and professional recording. This is simply a mom doing a seminar from home with some occasional noise in the background and that's what made me relate to her even more. Many homeschool seminars you will purchase are this way but it does not take away from the content of the message.

Reaching Your Child's Heart is one seminar I would make a point to hear again and even take notes on. I also love the fact that it was in mp3 format. It made it so easy to listen to while doing other things around the house. It's often hard to find the time to sit down and read but it's easy to listen to something while cooking dinner or folding the laundry. Even better, you'll be encouraged and challenged while listening.
